The network has over the past 48 hours had a mjaor spam attack from many different bots. Unfortunately we have had many many user and blog registrations, which are spam. This is going to require a lot of hard work to clean up.

We are now going to be implementing a few more improvements and anti spam systems to stop registrations.

Check our support blog to get the full info on what is going on, one of our support team should get something online tomorrow.

As part of our development we have decided to move all posts, except from major points into a seperate section. This will leave the main page for major news and site upgrades, the seperate section will be used for day to day changes and improvements.

We will make sure to place a link in the sidebar or footer of the page so that you can easily access it. Any expected downtime will be placed here as well as any issues or improvements we will be making so we reccommend you view it atleast once per week.

Well four days after launch and things are going exactly as we had hoped, more and more people are using LBLOG and we are gaining many users everyday.

To be honest it is a little overwhelming and we are struggling to cope with the email questions. With many people asking questions before they even try we are doing alot of work, just to get users.

We will soon have a “FAQ” page online.

We have been online for roughly 24 hours, officially,  and things have got off to a much better start than we expected.

Already we are getting a lot more sign ups than anticipated and the word seems to be getting out . Unfortunately I do think most of these users will only be active for a few weeks but who knows, perhaps they will stay online for good.

Watch out over the next few days as we grow the service and improve on every single aspect of LBLOG. Already we see a few small issues from the user sign ups but nothing that stops our services from functioning.

Well here we are with the launch less than 24 hours to go and we are pushing through a number of large updates which we hope will “put the cherry on the cake” and make LBOG 100% ready for its public launch.

At the top of the page you can see the logo we have decided to go with. It is pretty simple but we feel it does the job, which is what matters. On our about page you will find variations of this logo and other such “linkables” to help promote LBLOG, most of this will come online during the week as it is refined for online useage.

Our Features – This page currently only shows links and details about our current “features” but will grow and be improved as we launch the site fully.

Aswell as having a big launch we are also planning an early sign-up session for people who want to benifit a few extra hours at LBLOG. See you all at launch.

Okay with just over three days until launch we are all starting to regret our decision to launch so quickly. So many small things are coming up that we forgot would be needed.

These things are mainly items along the line of linking logos and advert content but will really matter if we want to push our services out to the public.

We have activated a few more add-ons and themes to the launch line-up but are still far from the final setup that we will launch. On the behind the scenes part of LBLOG we are working to get a few “big name” clients to use LBLOG.

Three days to go, I personally cannot wait.

1st February 2010 PUBLIC LAUNCH

After much thought and consideration about our launch date we have decided that we are going to open the service fully to the public on 1st February. This is roughly 5 days from now.

The reason for this quick launch is because everything that needs to be done to our setup is superficial or “add ons” to what we already have. These will be added as and when they are needed to help improve our services.

We have been putting together plans for this service for a number of months but it is only recently that we have decided to launch the service to the public. All systems were tested before and have been tested again here, so we feel all is ready.

Just after our public launch we are expecting to launch the following parts to our service :

    • Upgraded storage space
    • Email addresses (you @ yourblog.lblog.co.uk )
    • More addons
    • More themes

We are also planning on putting in place a much better system for support and contacting us so that you can ask for new features or get new themes much quicker and easier.

Okay today we are proud to announce our first public blog. It is the blog of Dunbar Domains but it is still a good step for us that we have a blog open to the public from our system.

It has been only 24 hours since our site came online and already our progress has made leaps and bounds in the right direction.

Today is Saturday 23rd of January 2010 and I am starting the tast of preparing the setup of Dunbar Domains entrant into the free blogs world.

We are going to spend some time, as little as possible, setting the site up and making sure that it will be fully working and secure for our users before we launch it to the public.

Our full team is going to be involved in the testing of the site but it is expected that only I will be involved in the full preperation.

Our first “rule” is going to be on starage per blog. This will initially be limited to 20mb per blog but this is likely to improve as we grow.
Hopefully this entrant into the market will be successful and will grow to be one of the best.
